Dostoevsky-Concert at Lappeenranta

A musical evening of FMD-Theatre (Dostoevsky Museum’s Theatre) devoted to the theme « Dostoevsky and music» will be held on 20th September at 8 p.m. at Lappeenranta, Finland.

Fyodor Dostoevsky, one of the best-known Russian writers, author of famous intellectual novels, was a big admirer of music and throughout his life attended musical concerts in Petersburg and in Europe. In his works there are mentions of different musical impressions of his characters, and there are also characters-musicians.

The program of the concert is based on programs of the concerts attended by Dostoevsky or his characters in Petersburg, Pavlovsk and in Europe. The concert is accompanied by a video: views of cities ad concert halls of Saint-Petersburg, Pavlovsk, European cities, where Fyodor Dostoevsky had been and played, or the places of the scenes from his romans, then the heroes are listening to music.
